Here is a new review from the Vermont Music Shop and Library... The Eames Brothers Band, 'Open Road'
"'Open Road' is The Eames Brothers Band’s entrance into the world of full-length albums. It was released in 2005 and rated as one of the top ten albums of the year in 'Seven Days,' “...original blues tunes [that] are remarkably soulful, which no doubt contributes to their demand. Their debut, 'Open Road,' is chock-full of dexterous musicianship and authentic emotion.” We couldn’t agree more, labeled as 'folk,' this album transcends genre and feels free to understanding. The flow is Mississippi delta blues-influenced folk and Southern R&B. On the album’s opener, “Gonna Stay Up All Night,” Eames sets the tone of the record with free lyrics remnant of Tom Waits or even Mark Knopfler. However with songs like the title track, “Open Road” which showcases an original jazzy progression with impressive guitar by Seth Eames and organ work by guest musician Ray Paczowski, The Eames Brothers are clearly eclectic souls, not to mention they are actually kindred. 'Open Road' comes off as a relaxing journey to one’s inner blues, and whatever that may be, the release is easily accessible to you, me, anyone, really. - E. Mintz"

"Train Goes By" - CD
This is Seth's first solo album. A must have for "acoustic blues" fans.
